Rick Courtemanche

Rick retired from IBM after 30 years where he held numerous and varied executive positions. He has extensive international consulting experience having partnered with key IBM clients throughout the USA and Asia. He has lead teams composed of diverse multi-cultural executives to develop strategic technology plans and service strategies.

Rick resided in Hong Kong for six years and developed and trained consulting teams in twelve Asian countries in addition to Australia and New Zealand. These teams consulted with IBM’s largest financial institutions and government agencies building and implementing strategic information systems plans. He was recently called out of retirement to lead a consulting team based in Hanoi Vietnam working with the Vietnamese government and financial institutions to develop guidelines and operational procedures.

Courtemanche, a summa cum laude graduate of Southern New Hampshire University in 1973, is a past chair of the Board of Trustees of SNHU, and past president of the NHC Alumni Association. He is a member of the Southern New Hampshire University Founders Society. He co-created two successful endowments to fund scholarships for veterans and computer science students. He currently serves as Trustee Emeritus at the university.

He is committed to the NH community and has volunteered with The United Way of Greater Manchester and the Nashua Area Boy Scouts. He has been a volunteer with St. Paul’s soup kitchen, Americares Homefront and various other church, social and charitable organizations. He currently serves on the board of Easterseals NH, and the Veteran’s Count Seacoast Chapter. He is an Army veteran and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and Bronze Star for Valor in combat operations. He and his wife Marcia currently reside in Hampton, New Hampshire.
