2023 Make 12 Hours Count Radiothon Puts the Focus on NH Service Members and Veterans

May 17 Veterans Count broadcast to feature stories, news, resources in recognition of Military Appreciation Month

Manchester, NH – New Hampshire service members returning home from active duty are often challenged to find support in transitioning to civilian life. Veterans Count, a program of Easterseals NH, VT & Farnum, is holding its annual Make 12 Hours Count Radiothon on Wednesday, May 17. The broadcast will raise funds for Veterans Count and awareness of resources for the local military community.

“I’m excited to once again partner with Veterans Count to show our appreciation of those who serve and let folks know about the services available to them here in the Granite State,” said Jack Heath of Binnie Media, who will host the Radiothon on May 17 from 7 AM to 7 PM on The Pulse of NH stations News Talk 107.3 WTPL, 98.1 WTSN, and 107.3 WEMJ, with additional support on music stations Frank FM, 105.5 JYY, Country 93.3 The Wolf, and Country 95.3 & 107.1 The Wolf.

Stories of Service, sponsored by Service Credit Union, will air hourly. Content will feature New Hampshire veterans, sponsor interviews, celebrity endorsements, and commentary from military dignitaries. Listeners are encouraged to call in and share their own service stories.

“We’re grateful to Binnie Media, Jack Heath, all of our supporters, and the volunteers who make this critical event happen to raise funds for our Veterans Count program,” said Maureen Beauregard, President and CEO of Easterseals NH, VT, and Farnum.  “On the day of the radiothon, I’m excited to share an update about our soon-to-be developed military campus in Franklin, NH. The campus will provide affordable housing; a hub of military and veterans specific services, including our Veterans Count program; a retreat center; and a therapeutic recreation campus. Tune in to learn more!”

Veterans Count volunteers will be taking calls and donations at 1.844.650.VETS (8387) throughout the day on May 17. Donations can also be made online any time at vetscount.org/nh. All proceeds support Veterans Count, a program that assists New Hampshire veterans, service members, and their families with financial stabilization, healthcare, housing, benefits access, and more.

The 2023 Make 12 Hours Count Radiothon is presented by FedPoint. Sponsors include Service Credit Union, Northeast Delta Dental, United Health Care, Markee Roofing, Patio Barn, Naults, Premier Roofing, and Abundant Life.
