Champlin Place, the organization’s three-story, 65-unit center of excellence, is now fully occupied
Rochester, NH, May 13, 2024– Easterseals NH held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today for Champlin Place, its fully-occupied affordable apartment community at 54 Healthcare Drive in Rochester for adults ages 62 and up. NH Delegation members, Governor Chris Sununu, Senator Maggie Hassan, Congressman Chris Pappas, community dignitaries, residents of Champlin Place, and supporters of the organization celebrated this new center of excellence with a speaking program, light refreshments, and tours of the complex.
Featuring a total of 65 one- and two-bedroom apartments, the three-story Champlin Place is designed to meet the needs of older adults who want to live in an affordable, well-equipped, modern apartment in an independent living setting. Easterseals NH broke ground on the project in November 2022 as the first of its three planned centers of excellence serving individuals of all ages and abilities in the community.
“Our goal is to help people stay in their homes for as long as possible,” said Maureen Beauregard, President & CEO of Easterseals NH & VT. “It is both amazing and gratifying to realize how much we positively affect the lives of people by providing this affordable housing. It is life-changing for our residents.”
Residents of Champlin Place will benefit from easy access to a full array of Easterseals NH’s supportive services, including its Adult Day and Homemakers & Health Services programs. All households with a gross total income at or below 60% of the area median income are eligible to apply for residency. Twenty-five of the apartments are also reserved for households whose gross income is not more than 30% of the area median income.
Among Champlin Place’s amenities are elevators, indoor mail delivery, a community room, a social room, on-site parking, an outdoor leisure space, and accessibility and mobility accommodations.
