Participants will mark the occasion by forming a giant human “90” at Veteran’s Memorial Park
Manchester, NH, May 20, 2026– Easterseals NH will kick off its 90th anniversary celebration on Thursday, June 4, as more than 1,000 participants gather in downtown Manchester, NH, for the annual Eversource Walk & 5K Run.
To launch the celebration, participants, supporters, families, and community members will help “Be the 90” by forming a giant human “90” at Veteran’s Memorial Park before the Eversource Walk & 5K race begins. The large-scale formation, photographed from above, will serve as a visual tribute to the organization’s 90 years of impact across New Hampshire and begin a yearlong anniversary celebration.
Among the many teams participating in this year’s Eversource Walk & 5K Run, the Adult Services Avengers stand out as an enthusiastic presence that reflects the spirit of community the event celebrates. Made up of consumers and staff from across Easterseals NH’s Community-Based Services programs, the Avengers have built a tradition of bringing together consumers, direct care staff, clinicians, families, and even children who return year after year for this shared experience.
“We’re especially excited to take part in this year’s walk as Easterseals NH celebrates 90 years of service,” said Senior Program Coordinator Shannon Warren. “The Adult Services Avengers represent the spirit of that legacy. These are people coming together across roles, programs, and generations to support one another and our community.”
The annual Eversource Walk & 5K Run events kick off at 4:00 PM at Veteran’s Memorial Park, where individuals, families, and teams will gather for a variety of exciting opportunities, including a Wellness Alley featuring vendor tables, food trucks, face painting, and live entertainment. A noncompetitive, accessibility route with level terrain and paved sidewalks will also take place at 4:00 PM. A kids’ fun run will begin at 6:00 PM. The actual 5K will begin at 6:20 PM. Money raised at the Eversource 5K will support Easterseals NH’s programming.
People interested in being part of the Be the 90 event should register by Monday, June 1, at eastersealsnh.org/be-the-90 and should arrive at Veteran’s Memorial Park by 4:15 PM to join the “Be the 90” human formation. The formation will end at 5:15 PM, before the actual Eversource Walk & 5K Run begins. To register for the 5K, go to eastersealsnh.org/eversource-walk-5k-run. All ages and abilities are welcome, whether or not they are participating in the 5K.
