A tremendous thank you to everyone who joined us at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, NH on Sept. 8 for Easterseals NH & VT Day at the Ballpark! It was a beautiful late summer afternoon—not too hot, not too cold, and perfect for some baseball. Thank you also to the Staff Appreciation & Recognition Committee for making another awesome event happen for our employees.
In recognition of and to thank its staff, Easterseals NH & VT treated them and their families to a day out at the ballpark. We were excited to gather as an agency for a fun afternoon to celebrate all the hard work we have accomplished together over the last year.
Easterseals NH & VT played a large role in pre-game festivities. On the jumbotron, we shared our 60-second “What is Easterseals NH?” video, which you can view here in case you missed it. Maureen Beauregard, our President & CEO, introduced the video on the field and later participated in an on-air radio interview during the game!
Matara Tamzarian, who works in Senior Services with ServiceLink, the state’s aging and disability resource center, threw the ceremonial first pitch. John Boehner, a three-year Direct Support Associate from our Community-Based Services office in Belmont, then performed a fantastic rendition of the national anthem.
The game was a close one most of the way through! Although the rival Portland Sea Dogs jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the 1st inning, the Cats quickly responded, pulling to within one run at the end of two and tying the game by the end of four. But it was a three-run Sea Dogs 8th inning that would seal the deal for the Boston Red Sox Double-A affiliates—the game ended with a final score of Sea Dogs 8 and Fisher Cats 5.
We hope everyone had a wonderful time—check out some photos from the game below!
