Beth and Faith were determined to find the right child care for their infant son, Henry. They did their homework, touring several centers and comparing options based on location, cost, availability, and the quality of care.
When they toured Easterseals NH’s West Side Early Childhood Center of Excellence in Manchester, something immediately felt different.
“We just instantly felt like part of the community,” Faith said. “Everyone was excited to meet Henry and share their experiences with us about why they’re here and why education was important to them. It’s not just drop your kid off and hope they do well. It’s how can we help them develop and learn along the way.”
Six months into Henry’s time at the center, Beth and Faith say they’ve seen that approach firsthand. From sensory activities and story times to arts and crafts and outdoor walks, they appreciate that Henry’s days are filled with opportunities to learn and develop new skills.
Just as important, they know the teachers are paying attention to who Henry is and what he needs as he grows. “He is so loved here,” Beth said. “There is literally no place else we want him to be.”
