The Campus Experience with Kathleen Reardon, CEO of NH Center for Nonprofits

When Kathleen Reardon arrived at the Easterseals NH Military and Veterans Campus to host a New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits educational program, the setting immediately stood out. “You’re not that far away, but you feel away, and it feels very invigorating and restful,” said Reardon, CEO of the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits.
Nonprofit board and staff members gathered in our Andy and Sarah Crews Conference Center for a full-day program focused on nonprofit planning and sustainability. The flexible space, audiovisual capabilities, and responsive Easterseals NH staff supported presentations, group discussions, and collaboration throughout the day. For Reardon, the Campus offered something equally important: the opportunity to host an event at another mission-driven organization.

“If you have the ability to host an event, why not host it at a place where your dollars are going to go back into the mission?” she said. The natural setting also gave participants space to step away from daily demands, allowing them to focus and connect with fellow nonprofit professionals. “I would highly recommend this space for an event,” Reardon said. “It is a beautiful setting. It is a top-notch event venue, and the staff is very responsive.”

Easterseals VT Celebrates the People Behind the Impact
On Friday, September 18, Easterseals VT staff gathered at the Vermont Granite Museum for the fifth annual Staff Celebration Day. This annual event gives employees an opportunity to come together, celebrate accomplishments, and reflect on the impact of their work across Vermont.

As part of the day, staff recognized achievements and awards and reviewed findings from the consumer satisfaction surveys. Feedback from the youth and parents we serve helps us understand what is working well and where we have opportunities to strengthen our services. One finding from this year’s survey was that 85% of parents agree or strongly agree that feedback provided through Family Time Coaching helped them with parenting.
One parent who participated in Family Time Coaching shared, “Our Coach is an asset to the reunification of us and our child. He has become like family and hopefully stays with his program for a very long time. He is absolutely wonderful to deal with through this stressful time. I look forward to continuing our work with him.”
Staff Celebration Day is an opportunity to recognize the teams of Easterseals VT while staying connected to what matters most: the children, families and mission.
