Hundreds Gathered in Veterans Park for the
2023 Eversource Walk & 5K Run for Easterseals NH
Manchester, NH – More than 1,300 people registered for the 2023 Eversource Walk & 5K Run in Veterans Park last Thursday. Together, they logged thousands of miles and raised over $140,000 for Easterseals NH programs.
Despite the heat and humidity, the atmosphere was celebratory at the afternoon event. Families and teams mingled in the park, picked up a bite to eat at food trucks like the Sleazy Vegetarian, took in views of the city from the Eversource bucket truck, and browsed vendor tables in Wellness Alley. Easterseals NH Senior Director of Human Resources Heath Hooper set the event to upbeat music as DJ and emcee.
“What a tremendous outpouring of support for the Easterseals NH community,” said Easterseals NH, VT & Farnum President & CEO Maureen Beauregard. “We’re so grateful to our friend and partner, Eversource, and all the sponsors, participants, volunteers, donors, and staff who brought their energy to race day. Once again, we powered change together for New Hampshire neighbors who depend on our programs to live life to the fullest.”
Proceeds from the Eversource Walk & 5K Run support Easterseals NH’s core programs for children, adults, seniors, and veterans.
“Our employees always look forward to supporting the important work that Easterseals does to serve people all over New Hampshire, and this year’s Eversource Walk & 5K Run was another fun-filled success,” said Eversource New Hampshire President of Electric Operations Doug Foley. “We look forward to our continued longstanding partnership with Easterseals, as well as encouraging more Granite Staters to join us in supporting their critical mission year-round.”
