Chris Miller named Senior Vice President of Property Management and Housing Development

Miller brings 35+ years of experience in affordable housing to Easterseals New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Farnum

Easterseals is proud to announce that Chris Miller will join our team of dedicated staff as Senior Vice President of Property Management and Housing Development.

Miller has worked at New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority since 1984, serving as the Managing Director of its Management and Development Division for 25 years. In that role, he oversaw the financing of new multi-family rental unit construction, refinancing of existing properties to preserve affordable housing units, and the management of publicly financed properties to ensure their quality administration and maintenance. NHHFA is a self-supporting public corporation that promotes, finances and supports affordable housing.

For the past year, Miller has served as Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives at New Hampshire Housing, leading a collaborative effort aimed at improving the funding and production pipeline for supportive housing initiatives, including housing and services for individuals with substance use disorder, mental and developmental disabilities, and for seniors who need supportive services.

Miller serves on the Advisory Council of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, and represents NHHFA on the CDFA Community Development Advisory Committee, NH State Health Assessment and Planning Council, and the NH Council on Resources and Economic Development. Miller earned his master’s degree in regional planning from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and his bachelor’s degree in environmental studies (geology) from Earlham College.

He begins his new role at Easterseals on July 17, and will work closely with the Easterseals leadership team to create housing opportunities for those most in need throughout New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. “We are fortunate to have found someone with the resume and experience of Chris Miller, and we are confident he can bring Easterseals into the next phase of affordable/supportive housing,” says Maureen Beauregard, President and CEO of Easterseals NH, ME, VT and Farnum. Easterseals operates thirteen core programs, across the three states. “Easterseals is ready and very capable of accomplishing some very good things in this area,” said Beauregard.

“I have seen firsthand the important work that Easterseals does as a nonprofit leader providing essential services for individuals with disabilities and special needs. I look forward to working with Maureen and the talented staff at Easterseals, where they are making profound and positive differences every day,” said Miller.
