Manchester, NH, July 30, 2025 — Easterseals NH held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today for its new Gammon Academy school and Bernadine Herron Playground on Zachary Road in Manchester. Mayor Jay P. Ruais joined current and former Easterseals NH senior leaders, staff, and supporters to celebrate the opening of this center of excellence with light refreshments, a speaking program, and guided tours of the state-of-the-art school.

Easterseals NH’s Gammon Academy provides residential and educational services—a true continuum of care—for students with significant developmental, behavioral, or intellectual disabilities, supporting them throughout their school-age years and into early adulthood.

“This school is more than just a building—it’s a bold step forward in inclusive education,” said Maureen Beauregard, President & CEO of Easterseals NH & VT. “We’re deeply proud to offer a learning environment that reflects our commitment to meeting each student where they are, supporting their growth, and helping them achieve their full potential.”

Easterseals NH has been offering residential and educational services at its Zachary Road site since 1999. In the fall of 2023, in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals, construction began on a purpose-built school to replace the previous building on the same site. Construction was completed earlier this year.
