Aligning programs at Easterseals NH provides meaningful support for people of all ages and abilities. Tadan, also known as “Tee,” a young man from Bedford, NH, perfectly exemplifies the impact of this integrated approach.
Tadan has always been energetic, social, and curious, although he sometimes benefits from extra guidance when navigating new experiences. Easterseals NH’s Youth Transitional Services (YTS) helped him build functional skills, explore potential career paths, and gain confidence in social and work settings.
“What really made a huge shift in his life was his first paid job,” Tadan’s mother, Carolyn, shared. “He became more self-confident, outgoing, and independent. The change was dramatic!”
Tadan’s YTS experiences connected seamlessly with Camp Sno-Mo, Easterseals NH’s overnight camping experience for youth and adults with disabilities. There, he embraced new activities like welding, robotics, and fishing while continuing favorites like horseback riding.
After graduating from high school, Tadan transitioned into Easterseals NH’s Community-Based Services (CBS) Day Program, where he continues to grow. When he’s not working, he enjoys volunteering and participating in outdoor activities.
“When youth transition from YTS to CBS, it’s more than a service change—it’s a celebration of growth, teamwork, and connection,” Senior Program Coordinator Shannon Warren said.
