Easterseals teams up with AGNE

Manchester NH – Associated Grocers of New England, Inc.  (AGNE) has teamed up with Easterseals to help the organization provide services to individuals with disabilities or special needs throughout New Hampshire. This partnership, which will run February 23 through March 28, will allow Easterseals to provide vital services to vulnerable individuals in our communities. All of AGNE’s NH retail locations are participating in a “Round Up” Campaign, allowing customers to round up every purchase to the nearest dollar. All of those extra cents will go to support Easterseals NH’s critical programs and services.

“We are so grateful to Associated Grocers of New England for this exciting opportunity, not only to benefit from the donations of their customers, but also to be able to spread awareness of our programs and services throughout the state,” said Easterseals President and CEO, Maureen Beauregard. “Support from the community, through businesses and individuals, is tremendously important to us as we carry out our mission and ensure that people in New Hampshire who need our help are able to receive it. And AGNE customers will know that their donation in any amount will be added to those of their friends and neighbors, leading to a big impact for those in need in their community.”

“All of us at AG Supermarkets are very excited to partner with Easterseals NH,” said Tim Merrill, Vice President and General Manager of Associated Grocers of New England. “Our stores and employees look forward to helping to raise money for a great cause that benefits thousands of individuals throughout NH. We hope this is the beginning of a strong partnership.”

About Associated Grocers of New England

Associated Grocers of New England, Inc. was organized in February 1946 by an enterprising group of 21 Independent Retailers resolved to form a company with greater purchasing power than they could realize individually. It first operated as New Hampshire Wholesale Grocers in an 18,000-square-foot warehouse facility in Concord, New Hampshire, and soon moved to Manchester, New Hampshire to accommodate growth in members and sales. The Company quickly became Associated Grocers of New England, which better represented the rapidly expanding market area. After two moves and numerous warehouse expansions, in 2006 a new, state-of-the-art, 380,000-square-foot Distribution Center – with 11 million cubic feet of space and constructed on 74 acres in Pembroke, New Hampshire – became AG New England’s home. The design of this new facility effectively doubled the capacity of the Manchester facility to expand and enhance product offerings. In April of 2014, AG New England broke ground for a 105,000 square foot expansion encompassing grocery, refrigerated, frozen and office areas.

This impressive facility offers retailers an expansive, and growing, variety of products as well as retail support services such as advertising, marketing, store equipment & design, merchandising, bookkeeping and retail systems. A dedicated team of 300-plus employees services over 600 stores in the six-state New England region, upstate New York/Albany area, and eastern Pennsylvania.
