Manchester, NH – The excitement is building for the 20th Annual Eversource Walk & 5K Run for Easterseals, to be held on June 6th at Veterans Memorial Park on Elm Street in Manchester. Registration begins at 4:30 pm and the race kicks off at 6:30 pm. Easterseals New Hampshire and Eversource are teaming up again for an event that last year raised just under a quarter of a million dollars to benefit Granite State children, adults, and seniors with disabilities or special needs.
“Easterseals is one of the largest human service agencies in the New Hampshire, helping more nearly 28,000 individuals with disabilities to live, learn, work and play in the communities where Eversource delivers energy every day,” said Easterseals President & CEO Larry Gammon. “Over the past three decades, Eversource employees have strongly embraced the work we do at Easterseals NH and we are honored to partner with them on this event.”
The 2018 Eversource Walk & 5K Run for Easterseals attracted more than 2,500 participants and raised more than $247,000. Funds raised from the Eversource Walk & 5K Run for Easterseals will help Easterseals continue to provide services throughout the Granite State, including: autism services, inclusive child care and early intervention, special education, medical rehabilitation, camping and recreation, vocational services, senior services, substance abuse services, adult day programs, community based services, individual service options, transportation services, residential service options, dental services, and veteran services.
Entry fee is $10 for runners/walkers under 21 and $25 for runners/walkers 21 and over. This year’s race has exciting new features including TWO live bands, a kid’s fun run, a beer ticket, and a new Easterseals Racing Series!
