Manchester, NH, August 29, 2024– Easterseals NH has named Jamie Staton, formerly a news anchor with WMUR-9, as a Major Gifts Officer. Staton will work collaboratively with the executive team, board members, senior leadership, staff, and volunteers to raise funds for the organization through transformative donations.

“We are pleased that Jamie Staton will bring his depth of experience and knowledge of New Hampshire to support our fundraising efforts, going out into the community as an ambassador for Easterseals, NH.” said Maureen Beauregard, President and CEO of Easterseals NH. “Jamie’s new role of Major Gifts Officer is well-aligned with our organization’s strategic initiatives to serve the people of New Hampshire, and I am confident in his ability to effectively bring our message to people who will sustain and advocate for our mission.”

Staton joined WMUR-9 in 1998. An Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award Winner, he was honored in 2017 as the Broadcaster of the Year by the NH Association of Broadcasters. The award recognized his many years of dedicated sports coverage, his work as a journalist covering major events like the Boston bombing, and his community involvement, including fundraising initiatives for Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth and the NH Tackles Hunger food drive.

A New Hampshire native, Staton grew up in Windham and attended Pinkerton Academy. He is a graduate of Ithaca College.
