Creativity is at the heart of every day at Adult Day. In both Rochester and Manchester, participants enjoy vibrant, hands-on art experiences that inspire joy, curiosity, and connection. These programs do more than encourage self-expression, they support healthy aging.

One study in Frontiers in Psychology found major benefits of art-based interventions for healthy older adults include:
- Improved cognitive performance and proprioception,
- Stronger self-identity and a greater sense of meaning in life
- Reduced loneliness and depressive symptoms
- Greater socialization.
From visits with talented local artists to enriching partnerships with community organizations like the Currier Museum of Art, our art program brings fresh inspiration and meaningful creative experiences directly to participants, where they are at.
Maureen, one of our Rochester participants, summed it up perfectly:
“It makes me feel creative, and I enjoy it a lot.”
And the best part? A little art really does go a long way—boosting mood, enhancing neuroplasticity, and strengthening empathy.
