We are pleased to share that Maureen Beauregard, our President & CEO, was a recent guest on the Executive Access podcast with host and leadership coach Jamie Tozzi.
During her discussion with Jamie, Maureen talked about her sister, Carolyn, a child representative for Easterseals NH in the 1970s and her primary source of inspiration for joining as President & CEO in October 2019. She also discussed the challenges of joining our organization during the Covid pandemic and the decision to implement and execute a strategic plan in 2022 to grow our impact.
Later in the conversation, Maureen highlighted the importance of retaining staff to help amplify our mission and the need to ensure they are always seen, heard, and appreciated. “When we started doing strategic planning, it was imperative to me that we listened to the boots on the ground,” Maureen said. “That is one of the most important things that we can do. … The other important thing is that we need to be able to help people be their best selves.”
Maureen also emphasized the importance of not letting one’s fears prevent one from making decisions that positively affect the organization. “What I found was if I moved forward in a way that’s respectful and clear … [then] what I needed to do that was hard was understood,” she said.
Finally, she talked about the benefits of a growth mindset, a belief that one’s abilities can be improved through effort, learning, and persistence. “I’m always looking ahead and trying to see how we can do something better,” she said. “I’m always full of ideas.”
