FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hundreds of attendees came together to help create life-changing experiences for campers of all abilities
Shelburne, NH, February 5, 2025– Hundreds of Granite State snowmobilers gathered with community leaders and officials at the Town & Country Inn and Resort in Shelburne last weekend for the 53rd annual Ride-In fundraiser for Camp Sno-Mo, Easterseals NH’s nationally recognized overnight camping and recreation program located in Gilmanton Ironworks for youth and adults with disabilities.
The event raised more than $105,000, which will help create life-changing experiences for Camp Sno-Mo campers. Club members, program supporters, and snowmobiling enthusiasts came together for a lively weekend that included a costume parade, a comedy show, scavenger hunts, a silent auction, a fireworks display, and other family-friendly activities. Also among those present were officials from the New Hampshire Fish & Game Department and the New Hampshire Bureau of Trails, Executive Councilor Joseph Kenney, and a representative from the office of U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire.

At the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association’s 53rd Annual Ride-In fundraiser, held from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 at the Town & Country Inn and Resort in Shelburne, participants gathered for a weekend filled with costumes, scavenger hunts, a silent auction, a fireworks display, and other family-friendly activities, all in support of Camp Sno-Mo, Easterseals NH’s overnight camping and recreational program for youth and adults with disabilities. Lucas (second from right), a 2024 camper, attended the event as an honorary guest with his family.
For more than five decades, the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association (NHSA) has sponsored the camp, which is operated in collaboration with Scouts of America’s Daniel Webster Council. Campers can choose from 126 diverse programs and earn Scout merit badges by engaging in a wide range of recreational activities, such as fishing, hiking, canoeing, archery, water sports, arts and crafts, robotics, and game design.
“Campers of all abilities have the chance to realize just how much they can achieve. That’s what makes the program so extraordinary, in addition to the unwavering dedication of the snowmobile clubs across the state—they are genuinely making a difference in the lives of so many youth and adults,” said Maureen Beauregard, President & CEO of Easterseals NH & VT. “We are beyond grateful for their generosity and hard work in ensuring each camper has an unforgettable experience every summer.”
Comprised of 96 organized clubs, the NHSA has now collectively generated more than $3.9 million for the program through various fundraising efforts since the inaugural Ride-In in 1973. Throughout the year, each club raises money from different initiatives in their community. The Scrub Oak Scramblers, a club from Madison, led the fundraising efforts this year, bringing in more than $20,000.
“I am genuinely amazed by the commitment of the snowmobile volunteers who bring the Ride-In to life. These snowmobile clubs labor relentlessly throughout the year to raise funds, making sure that summer camp stays affordable for campers,” said NHSA President Brian Labrie. “On behalf of the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association, we offer our deepest thanks to the clubs for their steadfast support. These folks are truly the best of the best!”
