Pre-ETS Overview
Easterseals NH Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) is a program of Youth Transitional Services that offers personal assessment, job exploration, and work-based learning experiences that align with an individual’s abilities and interests. Our goal is to prepare youth for a fulfilling job and work environment. We match teens and young adults with opportunities in Manchester, Concord, Portsmouth, Stratham, and other New Hampshire cities.
Assessment and Career Exploration
Students work one-on-one with a Pre-ETS Youth Support Specialist to complete an interest inventory, discuss their strengths, identify potential barriers to employment, create a resume, and participate in a mock interview.
Work-Based Learning Experiences
Students explore employment opportunities, participate in on-the-job training, and discover occupations that align with their interests and skills.
How it Works
1
We collaborate with businesses to develop a customized work-based learning experience for each student.
2
Students participate in a 20-hour work-based learning experience through the New Hampshire Department of Labor “School To Work” program.
3
Students gain experience performing a job and receive an hourly stipend.
